Has anyone done this and if so, what issues are there (if any) when upgrading.
Thank you. |

Hi splin, welcome to the boards! Having done this now (fresh/clean/upgrades of PHP-Nuke 7.7-7.9) many, many times, I would say not much to report. This particular build is virtually the same as what is offered from phpnuke.org with many noted exceptions (see download details).
Always backup database and home directory of course, but also take note of any core file edits in your existing installation. Get the latest version where possible of any and all mods/addons and hacks that you currently have installed. And I implore you to use NukeSentinel (if not already) and not just install NukeSentinel but properly configure...

Thanks, just wanted to let you know that updating went without any problems. I'm do have a question in regards to updating forums to latest version. I'm currently runnig 2.0.17. Eventhoguh it seem that after i updated nuke there are some changes, I still see this message in admin section of forums - phpBB 2.0.20. You are running phpBB 2.0.17.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi Splin, did you execute upgrades\0.1x\upgrade17-18.php, upgrades\0.1x\upgrade18-19.php and upgrades\0.2x\upgrade19-20.php to complete the upgrade process? _________________

Hello Friend, none that I can report. View our forum posts to see what others may have to say. The key with successful upgrade directly corresponds with whatever phpBB hacks or addons you may or may not have. Without any modifications to phpBB, upgrade is as simple is overlaying the files and running the scripts mentioned above.
