for the Arcade:
I went step by step making sure I didnt make any mistakes, but when I went to look at it, everything seem to be messed up. Luckly all i had to do is remove the block in admin and things went back to normal.

1. when it says :
(**) REPLACE modules/Forums/templates/subSilver/ WITH themes/YOUR-THEME/forums/ IF YOUR THEME USES INTERGRATED FORUM TEMPLATES
I am kinda confused, since there were directions to make the change in the template I am using and the subsilver one that came with this. Does this mean that if i am using another templete that I am to copy it in the subsilver folder? or what?

2. In the directions it wants me to edit
themes/YOUR_THEME/forums/overall_header.tpl

AND

modules/Forums/templates/subSilver/overall_header.tpl
#-----[ FIND THE LINE ]-----------------------------------------
#
<a><img>{L_PROFILE}</a> <a><img>{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a>

#
#-----[ IN LINE, FIND ]-----------------------------------------
#
{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a>

#
#-----[ IN LINE AFTER, ADD ]-----------------------------------
#
<a>{I_MINI_ARCADE}{L_ARCADE}</a>

now in my templete that info looks like this

• <a>{L_PROFILE}</a> • <a>{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}</a>
• <a>{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a></td>

If you notice the format is not matching exactally with the directions. Since I am not programmer, I tried to follow the pattern that I saw and the change I did was like this

<a>{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a> <a>{I_MINI_ARCADE}{L_ARCADE}</a></td>

Is this incorrect, or will not work, or is it still the right way?

Also for some reason the overall_header.tpl in the subsilver folder was to big and didnt have anything like this to edit.

when i added the block, set it for admin i went to look at my home page and everything was messed up, color, borders, it seem that the info was still there but the theme was bad. I went back and stopped the block and everything went back to normal.

sorry for the long post, I just wanted to give you as much info as i could

What it basically means is this;

1. If your theme does NOT have a matching phpbb forum template, (yes some of the old themes don't have them), then to edit the subsilver template. Otherwise, if your theme DOES have it, then edit that.

2. Again, I believe what I did, was just to edit the themes' overall_header.tpl file, as all the themes I use do have a matching forum template. I hate the ones that don't.

From what I can see, I think you have amended the code correctly. Editing forum coding can be a bit of a hot-and-miss affair, as not all theme designers code their themes/forums the same way.

from the readme, is it ok to just do a copy and paste? it seem that when I do this it is not looking like the same pattern as what is in there, or should it make a difference, the pattern is just to help read it better.
Also from the directions, it says to do the edits in both spots the silver and the one i use. I did do this and my templete seems to get messed up when i activate the block.
I will go back through all the install steps to make sure there is nothing wrong and try again. I wont do any edits to the silver since i do have a template with matching forum.

To follow up on what i have done.
I went through everything and it all seems to be there, sql all installed right

this time i loaded the block and the arcade block came up with scrolling of the top scores, the icon that is suppost to come up at the top of Latest High Score is not loading.

I click on the ultimat arcade and it wanted my login, so i did, and when i hit enter my theme was all messed up again and at the top there was an error that said:

Template->make_filename(): Error - file themes/wow11/forums/arcade_cat_body.tpl does not exist

this file is under deepblue/forums
Do i copy all these files to mytheme/forms folder?
I am going to try this and see, I was just looking as I was asking this and i didnt see any conflicts with files, and I will let you know what happens in a few.

edit:
that did it, I didnt see anything in the install that I should copy over the deepblue/forums files to the one i am using. It does show and edit to goto deepblue if your using the silver template but that is all I was able to find. So I guess for us beginners you may want to edit the install to clearify this.
now the wife will be hapy for awile

OK, my friend when doing any mod first thing to do is Bacp Up the files you are going to replace. If at all possible test on a local server first. Then when it says to upload files to your themes directory thats when you upload to your default them. If it says to upload to the templates/subsilver directory upload it there. Alot of the files going into the subsilver template d not need to be added to your default nuke theme. For the most part you will only see the subsilver theme while in the forum admin, or if you do not have a theme with a forum in it at all. If you still need help get back to me here and i will walk it through with you on msn or something ok ?
