Greetings scottpow,
With regards to the menu, will require manual edit of language file. Dynamic menus will not be introduced til AdvancedCart, sometime this spring.
The bad news with blank edit page, is the changes made to the integrated html editor between version 7.8 and 7.9 (patched). I will probe the code just to be sure. Just so you know, my scripts are usually on the most secure, bleeding-edge of PHP-Nuke. And my philosophy is, the more mature the code (patched), the more secure and at the very least, more feature-rich. But you must decide for yourself, any assistance required, do not hesitate to re-visit these forums.

First your cart is awesome! I haven't found anything close to it. Great job.
Another question:
If I want a regular item to be in the special category do I have to manual create another instance in the specials or is there a way to copy it?

Thank you for the very nice words, your support is appreciated. And especially after that, I hate to say no, not possible til AdvancedCart, sometime this early spring. Massive and very ambitious under-taking. "Total" PayPal integration, while maintaining ease-of-use. What I would do, is make that other instance, and activate/de-activate at will. Also you may login to phpMyAdmin, and do the ole copy-and-paste routine
BTW, help spread the word about our scripts and supply us a link to your site, when ready.
