I actually figured it out.
The SQL file has some issues as distributed. I edited the SQL to make it as vanilla as possible and everything is now fine.
The Code seems okay.

I'm running 7.8. Upgrading to 7.9 isn't really an option. I've tried to install the cart after dropping all tables many times.
Can't save any changes. At all.
